LEAD PASTOR

SCOTT & MICHEALLE HOAG

God opened the door for Scott & Michealle to serve as Lead Pastors of Cornerstone in 2001. Together, they are deeply passionate about building the Kingdom of God. They love people and are thrilled to serve God's purposes in their lives.

Prior to coming to Cornerstone, the Hoags served as Associate Pastors at City Church in Lancaster, CA and Harbor Light in Fremont, CA. Scott attended Christ for the Nations in Dallas, TX and Heritage Bible Institute in Fremont, CA. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Church Leadership at Bethany University in Scotts Valley, CA and his Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University.

Michealle is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in English and Theater. The Hoags were married in 1993. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR

DOUGLAS & KRISTIN SCOTT

Douglas & Kristin Scott came to serve the Lord at Cornerstone in 2012 after serving 4 years as missionaries in the Philippines. They continue to lead teams back each year to help underprivileged kids receive new shoes.

After 17 years of elementary school administration, Douglas serves as the Executive Administrator at Cornerstone. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Arkansas. God has gifted Douglas with gifts of Administration and Graphics Arts.

The Scotts were married in 1993. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

WORSHIP PASTOR

JOSEPH RYKERT

Joseph was born and raised in Modesto, CA. He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University and obtained a Bachelor’s in Music with a Vocal Performance. He completed an internship through the School of Ministry at Big Valley Grace Community Church in Modesto. He also served as their Associate Worship Director for 2 and a half years. Joseph’s background and calling have led him to trust God for this next step in ministry to serve as our full-time Worship Pastor at Cornerstone.

FAMILY PASTOR

MATTHEW & BECCA LARSEN

Matthew and Becca came to us from Anchorage Alaska in 2016. Prior to coming to Manteca, they served as Youth Pastors at Anchorage First Assembly of God. Matthew received his Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Anchorage, AK. The Larsens are passionate about serving families and kids and are excited to build the kingdom of God. They have three daughters, Aurora, Embrie and Kinslee.

YOUTH PASTOR

JAKAN & EMILY HOAG

Jakan and Emily started their ministry with us in 2019. They are both graduates of William Jessup University, in Rocklin, CA. Jakan completed his BA in Church Leadership/Youth Ministry with a minor in Biblical Studies. Emily is currently a 3rd grade teacher at Colony Oak Elementary School in Ripon. They have a heart to disciple and grow students closer to Jesus. They use every opportunity to demonstrate Christ’s love to others. The Hoags have one son, Copper John.

CHILDREN’S PASTOR

KIM ALLEN

Kim and Jonathan are both ordained ministers of the Assemblies of God. They began their pastoral ministry journey after graduating from Bethany University in 1998. They were immediately drawn to Cornerstone’s passion and values and are thrilled to be part of the Cornerstone family. Kim recently transitioned from her role as an administrator at a private school and is excited to embrace the position of Children’s Pastor. Jonathan is nearing completion of his Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership and serves as a full-time Hospice Chaplain. They are blessed with three adult sons: Samuel, Caleb and Joshua.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY PASTOR

ROBERT & CARLA HENSON

Robert and Carla began attending Cornerstone in 2000. In 2010 Robert received his license to preach with the Assemblies of God and was ordained in 2015. Celebrate Recovery began under the leadership of Pastor Robert in 2012. The Hensons have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

SENIOR ADULTS PASTOR

JOHN & EMMIE SWANSON

John and Emmie began attending Cornerstone in 2000 and became the Senior Adult Pastors in 2018. John has an AA degree from San Joaquin Delta College in Criminal Justice. He is currently enrolled with Global University Berean School of the Bible and working towards being certified with the Assemblies of God. John and Emmie have two children and 10 grandchildren & great grand children.
